Having each personally experienced the undeniable health benefits of plant medicine, and more, the frustration resulting from the lack of predictability, the Altopa team set out to understand the problem.
Distilled down, our research pointed to a single challenge - plants, like people, are inherently unique. The chemicals and compounds plants create are impacted both in number and relative quantity by a number of factors including genetics, environmental impacts and more. It’s this variable ratio of chemicals and compounds including cannabinoids like CBD from hemp, terpenoids, and flavonoids that determine how a specific plant will affect a given person. Based on the characteristic of each ingredient, the Oblend is able to combine specific, micro-metered amounts to create precise, consistent products.
Engineered for precision
Three years and thirty-two patents later, Altopa has created the world’s first botanical oil blending platform capable of combining cannabinoids and terpenoids with a range of viscosity and flow characteristics to single microliter levels of precision. The Oblend is loaded with smart chipped ingredient canisters and enables the custom creation of tinctures, vapes and topicals - one product at a time.
